Addressing kids' questions about mental illness and other difficult topics
I think you have done a beautiful job with this! I do feel most questions kids have you covered so lovingly and easy to understand. Any time I thought something could be added, you hit that topic on the next page or two. You have done such an amazing job with this! This is something I wish my siblings and I could have had when we were younger.

I have indeed been using your books and the worksheets with our middle school students! I have used them personally during my one-on-ones and as an exercise tool to reinforce our meetings. Students have found both the book on Anxiety and Depression to be very helpful, as many can relate. The students have also found the worksheet to be supportive of their needs because for some of them, they have “never been asked such questions or to reframe their thinking.”
Your books and worksheets have been a very positive tool my our students and myself as a professional.

I got these in the mail and they are fantastic! My 11-year-old daughter has been reading them and she said she didn't realize how hard that would be for kids. They're great and I wanted to reach out and say thank you again for sending these to me. I promise you I will use them whenever I need to have these difficult conversations. What an amazing (and niche) resource for me to have! Thank you, thank you!

The Dear Aunt Delora Series is geared toward middle school age children, but can be used by anyone at any age to start an honest discussion about mental illness, anxiety and/or having a loved one that is incarcerated.

Download PDFThis video gives a little insight into the Dear Aunt Delora series of eBooks written for kids who have a loved one suffering from a mental illness. It's so important that they work through their feelings with a trusted adult so their fears can be turned into hope!
Spring and Fall are my favorite and least favorite seasons...watch to find out why...also listen to a brief reading from the Dear Aunt Delora series (Bipolar Disorder version)
